Goeller is a specialist in American studies and a journalist covering international politics with special emphasis on the Arab World and the USA. Previously, he had been a correspondent for the Washington Times and a columnist for the Egyptian monthly, Egypt Today. He reported from Washington from 2000 until 2004.
